Cross Country Girls 3rd, Boys 2nd at Home Invite. Hamrin Wins Girls Event

Lumberjack senior runner, Sadie Hamrin claimed victory in the girls 5K at the Bemidji Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Greenwood Golf Course. Perham won the girls team title with 39 points, while Moorhead took second with 44 and Bemidji third with 82 in the six-team field.

Riley Berg was the top finisher for the Bemidji boys, taking fourth with a time of 17:32.9. Perham also claimed the boys team title by two points over Bemidji, with each team securing 40 and 42 points, respectively, out of seven teams.

Tuesday’s meet at Greenwood Golf Course helped prepare the Jacks for the Section 8AA meet, which is set for 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, in Fergus Falls.
