Steve Schreiber was named the Girls Basketball Coach for the 2016-17 season. The newly-hired Bemidji High School girls basketball coach will attempt to duplicate the success he experienced as a member of the Bemidji State track and field team on the basketball court.
The BSU graduate is a five-time Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference high jump winner, indoors and outdoors, and was named all-conference in all six seasons he competed for the Beavers. He also holds the school records for indoor and outdoor high jump and competed at nationals in 2003.

Senior forward Josh Cervenka of the boys basketball team was named Academic All-State by the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association at the MSHSL state tournament Saturday in Minneapolis. Congratulations Josh!
