**Home Games at Chet Anderson Stadium, BSU
Coming into Thursday’s matchup at Fergus Falls, the Bemidji High School boys soccer team had five goals in seven games this season. The Lumberjacks bagged seven against the Otters.
The offensive outburst scored a 7-1 win, as six different goal scorers contributed to a strong offensive win.
Bemidji improves to 2-5-1 and will next face Sartell-St. Stephen at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Chet Anderson Stadium.
Bemidji Pioneer Article:
Based on a box score, Tuesday’s 1-0 loss to Brainerd wouldn’t turn any heads for the Bemidji High School boys soccer team. Nevertheless, the Lumberjacks walked out of Chet Anderson Stadium with those heads held high.
The Warriors (7-0-1) stand alone atop the Central Lakes Conference standings, while Bemidji (1-5-1) is fighting for elbow room near the bottom of the field. Even so, a bend-but-don’t-break kind of night from the defense allowed the Jacks some pride in their performance.
In a physical contest between old rivals, Moorhead grinded out a 3-0 win over the Bemidji High School boys soccer team Tuesday night at Chet Anderson Stadium.
The Spuds were held to three goals for the second time this season, but have still outscored opponents 27-4 en route to a 6-0 start. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Lumberjacks, who fell to 1-4 on the year.
BHS will return to action Friday, Sept. 18, in Alexandria for a 7 p.m. kickoff with the Cardinals.
