Volleyball will practice in the gym:
September 21st, 22nd, and 23rd from 3:30 to 5:30
September 28th, 29th, and 30th from 3:30 to 5:30.
For three years, Jenna Anderson produced dig after dig for the Bemidji High School volleyball team and simultaneously became the face of the Lumberjack defense. She climbed to 974 digs by the home stretch of her senior season and was one match away -- two tops -- from hitting quadruple digits when the statewide shutdown ended her career and left her reeling for answers.
Thankfully, Anderson’s volleyball career won’t end here. She’s narrowing down her college choices and hopes to commit to a program soon. She’s got 974 reasons why college coaches are after her.
Emily Wade had a jam-packed week to remember. The senior setter not only guided the Lumberjacks to a doubleheader sweep over Sauk Rapids-Rice on Saturday -- in turn snapping a six-match skid -- but she also reached 1,000 career set assists on Thursday and even signed her National Letter of Intent to Bemidji State on Wednesday. Over four matches throughout the week, Wade tallied 115 set assists to sit at 1,088 in her BHS career.
Bemidji Pioneer Article:
A 3-1 loss to Sartell-St. Stephen (24-26, 25-18, 25-19, 25-20) won’t be the measuring stick that the head coach or her Bemidji High School volleyball team takes away from the BHS Gymnasium. Rather, the Lumberjacks (1-6) are insisting the emphasis remains on the day-by-day growth.
The Lumberjacks return to the floor at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, against Rocori in Cold Spring.
