What's The Plan Coach?

Varsity meets this week Wednesday & Friday.  Normal practice from 3:45-5:45 today and from 5-7 Thursday.

All players not going to the meets this week are welcome to practice.  Let Kelli know and she'll be at the course to get you going or work with you on the range.

REMINDER:  please turn in your bag to me today at practice if you are not one of the 6 going to sections.

Girls Golf Places 9th at Pre-Section Meet

The Bemidji High School girls golf team got an idea of where it stacks up in the section on Friday, as BHS placed ninth at the 11-team 8-3A Pre-Section Tournament at Headwaters Golf Course in Park Rapids.

Before BHS tees off on the Section 8-3A Tournament on June 3-4, the Jacks will take part in the Alexandria Invite at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 17.

An even team score of 400 put the Bemidji High School girls golf team in fifth place at the seven-team Brainerd Invite on Monday.

Nicki Son earned her fourth top-10 finish in as many meets this season. The senior landed 10th by leading BHS with an overall score of 85.

Rylie Jones and Greta Smith tied for second on the team with scores of 104, tying for 26th overall, and Kate Hildenbrand rounded out the team showing with a 107 that placed her 30th.

Mataya Carter (111) and Mya Huesby (115) respectively finished in 33rd and 35th place to wrap up the Bemidji performances.

Bemidji will return to the links at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 6, for an invite at Fergus Falls.

The Bemidji High School girls golf team tumbled toward the bottom of the leaderboard on Thursday, placing seventh out of eight teams at the Fergus Falls Invite at Pebble Lake Golf Club.

The Lumberjacks finished with a team score of 402, which topped Rocori’s 423 but trailed the other six teams. Alexandria’s 315 team score was two strokes better than Brainerd for first place, while the host Otters fired a 346 for third. Willmar edged BHS by three strokes for sixth.

The Jacks will next tee off on the Rocori Invite at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 10, at Rich Spring Golf Club in Cold Spring.
