The Bemidji High School baseball team blew past Rocori for a pair of wins in a doubleheader sweep Tuesday in Cold Spring. The Lumberjacks won the first game 10-3 before taking the finale 10-0 in six innings. BHS batters racked up 11 hits in each game while outhitting Rocori 22-5.
The sweep improved the Lumberjacks to 6-0 on the season, while the Spartans dropped to 3-3.

With a flex of its muscles in game one and a gritty victory in game two, the Bemidji High School baseball team further proved itself as a legitimate contender on Thursday. The Lumberjacks walloped St. Cloud Tech 16-0 and then ousted Brainerd 6-1 in a doubleheader at the BSU baseball field.
Bemidji (4-0) hits the road for the first time on Tuesday, April 27, for a 4 p.m. doubleheader against Rocori in Cold Spring.
Isaiah Biehn couldn’t have asked for a much better start to the season. Not only did the Lumberjacks sweep Moorhead by 10-0 and 9-4 scores on Friday, Biehn pitched four shutout innings in the opener while striking out 10 of the 15 batters he faced and allowing just one hit. At the plate, meanwhile, Biehn had nearly as much production as the Spuds. Between the two games, he went 4-for-6 with three RBIs and three runs scored and reached base six times from the leadoff spot.
