The Bemidji High School boys and girls track and field teams each placed second in a quadrangular meet at St. Cloud Apollo on Thursday.
The Lumberjacks boys totaled 80 points, second to Alexandria’s 106. The BHS girls also took second with 65 points, while Alexandria earned 130.5 to finish first.
The Lumberjacks will return home to host Moorhead in a dual meet at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 17, at BHS.
Hosting their first home meet in nearly two years, the Bemidji High School track and field teams topped Sauk Rapids-Rice on both the boys and girls sides Thursday at BHS.
The Lumberjack boys triumphed 102-54 and the girls 91-58 in the dual meet.
The boys team was victorious in 14 of 18 events, while the girls took first in 13 of 18 events.
The Lumberjacks will host one more home dual meet this season against St. Cloud Tech on May 17. But first, they’ll next compete at St. Cloud Apollo on Thursday, May 13.
The Bemidji High School track and field teams came within one point of a sweep Thursday in a dual meet at Sartell-St. Stephen. The Lumberjack boys prevailed 90-56 and the girls were edged 73-72 by the Sabres.
The boys earned first-place finishes in 13 events and the girls compiled 10 event wins.
The Lumberjacks are next scheduled to host a dual meet against Sauk Rapids-Rice at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, at the BHS track.
